2020 Course de Côte du Mont Dore - Formula Masters

Cindy Gudet at speed in her Tatuus Formula Master.  She was second fastest in her class on Saturday with a very good time.
In the last few years the old Formula Masters cars have been allowed into French hillclimbing into a new class D/E 8.  Formula Masters was a competitor to Formula Three that existed from 2005 to 2009.  It was a one-make series using Tatuus cars.   It is nice to see these cars have a second career on the hills.

Hopefully my photos will show you why any amateur motor racing photographers should head to the hills.  You get nice and close to the cars with no safety fencing.  It is like going back to another era!  The photo above was taken with a Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM lens mounted on a Canon 7D Mk II.  A nice combination for hillclimbs.

All of the other FormulaMaster competitors are shown below:

Fabrice Flindy was the fastest D/E 8 competitor on Saturday.

Remi Bechadergue was the slowest of the Formula Masters car on Saturday but only by a small margin.

The final Formula Master competitor was Kevin Petit.
