2020 Course de Côte du Mont Dore - F3

Two Formula Three cars come up the hill together - Gaetan Renouf's Dallara catching up Francis Renouf's Martini.
Old Formula Three cars play a big role in French hillclimbing and there were over a dozen of them at Mont Dore for the opening round of the 2020 French Mountain Championship (CFM).   Most were Dallaras of various vintage but a Martini and a Mygale added some variety.  Billy Ritchin was alone in the class for newer cars but there were plenty of cars of more than 5 years old competing in the other F3 class.  Always nice to see some fast single seaters!

Billy Ritchin was fastest in this very modern Dallara F317.  He was also seventh fastest overall on Saturday.
In the class for older F3 cars, Didier Brun was fastest in this Dallara F302.
Runner-up in class DE/5S for older F3 cars was Fabien Ponchant, also in a Dallara F302.
Third in class DE/5S was this Dallara-Mercedes F308 of Arnaud Cholley.
