Marc Pernot gained the lead in the CFM with a win at La Pommeraye in his Nova Proto NP01 Turbo. |
It was great to see the faster Championnat de France de la Montagne competitors at La Pommeraye in 2024. It was my first time at La Pommeraye and my first time in seeing these cars in just over a year.
The overall battle for the championship is looking like being a battle between Merc Pernot and Fabien Bourgeon this year with both coming to this event with two victories each in the early rounds. There are so many other drivers and cars to enjoy as well with some very fast single seaters such as the Formula Nippon Lola and the Formula Master car. Then there are the two litre Normas and the Formula Three and Formula Renault cars plus those incredible fast 1 litre motor cycle engined enclosed sports cars in the CM class.
My photos are from the Saturday practice runs. On Sunday they had some rain but then it dried out again.
