The Course de Côte d'Abreshviller-St Quirin hosted the third round of this year's Championnat de France de la Montagne V.H.C. for historic and classic cars. Situated in the Moselle department of France this hill climb runs up the forest for 2.1km with a slope of an average 5%. Held at the end of April 2023 it attracted a nice field of 18 VHC cars. They are presented in order in this blog post according to the cumulative time of the best two of their four runs.

The 2022 Voiture de Sport VHC Champion, Sébastien Brisard has upgraded from a Martini Mk25 to a Martini Mk43/45 and it is a wickedly fast car that was faster than some of the modern single seaters. Other cars that caught my eye was the sixties Formula Ford Lotus 51A of Ian Philipp Gibson and the Ford Renault Martini Mk15 of Viviane Bonnardel. Nice to see a Simca 1200S and thew Marcadier Barzoi as well. The 2022 Voitures de Production VHC Champion Jean-Marie Almeras continues with his run of successes in his Porsche 935.

| André Tissot came second in his group with this beautiful 1971 Marcadier Barzoi with a 1.6 litre engine. |

| Fourth in the large competition GT group was Jean-Marie Brisard in this 1972 Alpine Renault A110 1.8 litre. |

| The final VHC competitor was Jean-Marie Pierron in this lovely 1969 Simca 1200S. |
