2018 Ginetta GT4 Supercup - Brands Hatch Indy Round 2

Just after the start, the field attempts to get through Paddock Hill Bend in one piece.  Charlie Ladell already has a clear lead.
The Ginetta GT4 Supercup is part of the support programme for the BTCC and is the top one-make championship for Ginettas in the UK.   The first three rounds were on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the beginning of April and these photos come from the second round.     There are tight technical regulations to ensure parity between the cars and there is both a Pro class and an Am class.  It can be a route to better things as Stuart Middleton who was on the podium at the Daytona 24 hours this year was a past racer in the junior series as was Lando Norris.  The G55 cars which have 380 bhp 3.7 litre Ford V6 engines are capable of 150 mph.  As can be seen from the photos the race was held in wet conditions.
