One of the two categories providing support races for the 24 hours of Le Mans was a major Porsche Carrera Cup race with participants from France, UK, Benelux and many other countries around the world. A great chance for these young up and coming or gentlemen drivers to sample the proper 24 hour circuit at Le Mans. The race was just 45 minutes long, during which they covered 9 laps but there was certainly plenty of action. In the end after many incidents and a puncture for the pole sitter Florian Latorre, the race became a battle between Dino Zamparelli, Dan Cammish, Ayhancan Güven, Philipp Morin and Alessio Rovera. British driver Dan Cammish eventually won by muscling past them on the last lap and now has an enviable record in this class of racing.
