61ème Course de Côte du Mont-Dore / Chambon-sur-Lac 2021, Groupe FC

Geoffrey Desmereau and his Jidé Original, which won its class.

I have to admit that I love these old pre-2005 cars that compete in Groupe FC.  Most are far older and date to the seventies.   Very popular with most spectators they are often spectacular as well.  At Mont Dore on Saturday morning and early afternoon they had to contend with rain but not with the worse conditions that preceded and followed their runs.  All the Groupe FC runners that competed at Mont Dore in 2021 are shown here.

Mathieu Nouet won the Groupe FC in his Simca Rallye 3.

Splashing through the rain is runner-up, Christophe Poinsignon in his Simca CG Turbo.

Third was this Scora Type 2 of Joël Cazalens.

Fourth was the Jidé Original of Geoffrey Desmereau.

Fifth and a class winner was Thomas Broussolle in this Simca Rallye 2, seen here splashing through the rain.

Sixth and a class winner was Philippe Quioc in a Simca Rallye 2.

Seventh was this Peugeot 205 of Dominique Lansard.  Lac Chambon is in the distance.

Eighth was this Simca Rallye 3 of Marc Le Goff.

Ninth was Laurent Brossard in this Simca Rallye 2 cutting the apex finely.

Tenth was this Simca Rallye 2 of Nicolas Delperie.

Final classified car was this Renault Clio V6 Trophy of Arnaud Choquet, seen here in the rain.

The clouds begin to descend off the mountain as this Simca heads toward the Col.
