2019 Dijon Motors Cup! Legends Cars Cup

Yohann Gasnier leads a tight group as one of the Ransons locks up.
Legends cars have been around since the mid nineties but in France only since 2004.  They represent 5/8 scale replicas of American cars from the thirties and forties and are powered by motor cycle engines.  The essence is to provide close exciting racing at a reasonable cost.  In France they race as part of the Historic tour organised by HVM who also organise the Dijon Motors Cup.  On the Saturday they had two races and I caught the end of race A and the whole of race B.  Both were dry races and the second one was particularly close with the top four crossing the finish line together with less than a tenth of a second separating them.  Lots of French competitors but a number of fast Belgians who took the top two position in race 2.

Thibault Chiron gets it all wrong and loses touch with the lead group but still finishes fifth and leads the Championship.
This is how close it was in the leading group in race B.  Maxime Lieutenant leads and was to take the win.
Laurent Chiffre leads Pierre Vincent in race A.
The battle for second place in race A with Max Lieutenant leading Guy Fastres.
Early in race B and Timothée  Ghislain leads.
Later in race B Maxime Lieutenant leads.
Sébastien Pineau bumps over the kerbs.
