Traversée de Paris Hivernale 2019

Chenard et Walcker
The Traversée de Paris Hivernale is a big classic vehicle event that takes place in the first half of January every year.   The cars start from the Château de Vincennes and then drive past many of Paris's famous landmarks, stopping to be admired along the way.  This was its sixteenth running and about 700 vehicles took part - everything from bicycles to motor bikes to tractors to cars to vans and more besides.  It tends to be my first event of the year and this year it was a chance to try out my new lens on my Canon DSLR - a 135mm F2.  Below are the results of using that lens and a number of others to get a good variety of shots.   I started at the Sacré Coeur, moved on up to Montmartre, drove down to Place de l'Alma and finished at Place de la Concorde.
Porsche 356 with the Eiffel Tower.
I saw this VW SP2 in Montmartre and later Place de la Concorde.  It was creating a lot of interest as it is rare in France, being a Brazilian made sports car from the seventies.

A much photographed pair in the Place de la Concorde.   A BMW motor bike and side car, not to mention the cute dog.
