2018 Tour Auto - Régularité

1958 Osca Maserati 750 Sport
About 112 of the competitors in the Tour Auto Optic 2000 take part in the Regularity category.  This means that they compete in terms of keeping to a set average speed rather than competing on outright speed.  Thus a Citroen 2CV can compete with a Lancia Stratos.   For the spectators on the Tour Auto this category is rather nice as we get to see a much greater variety of cars.  As with all the cars competing in the Tour Auto the cars must be of a type that competed in the original Tour de France Automobile between 1951 and 1973.  Below are ten of my favourite regularity cars from this year’s event.  I took the pictures on the first day at either Dijon-Prenois or in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
An unlikely Tour Auto car - a 1951/2 Citroen 2CV Type  A of French team Allain/Puyal.
The Argentinian team of Hinrichsen/Mayo and their beautiful 1957 Maserati 200 SI
Not a car you see very often - a 1951 Nash Healey Roadster of the Grahams.
1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV

1973 Dino 246 GT
1974 Saab 96 Rallye 1700S

1957 Ferrari 250 GT Boano
1971 Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF

1956 Jaguar Xk140 Coupe
1976 Peugeot 504 Berline
1951 Peugeot 203
1974 Lancia Stratos
1958 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII
1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso
