4ème Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2017

Two wonderfully period dressed gents stand on the pre-grid for one of the plateau.
VRM or Vintage Revival Montlhéry is rather unique.  The setting is France's pre-eminent pre-war circuit complete with banking.   Drivers such as Benoist, Chiron, Varzi, Caracciola, Campari, Sommer and Wimille won the French GP here between 1925 and 1937.  The variety of cars and motor cycles that this event attracts is amazing.  Most people see marques they have never even heard of, let alone have seen before.  The organisation is not too formal, everyone is very friendly and they are plenty of spectators who come dressed in period costume.  There is no actual racing any more at the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome but there are lots of high speed demo runs.  All in all a wonderful way to spend the weekend.  Unfortunately, I spent just a short two hours there on Sunday afternoon. Must allocate more time when the event returns in two year's time.
The French marque Rally produced beautiful cars between 1921 and 1933.
A Swiss motorbike.  The Motosacoche was made in Geneva.  Lovely period riding gear as well.
Three wheeler as well, including this Morgan. It is seen here taking the last chicane at speed.
The famous Montlhéry banking with five pre-war motorbikes making their way round the circuit.
There were eight plateau for cars and a further three plateau for motor cycles.  Examples from each of the car plateau below:
