Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2019- Motos

The Vintage Revival Montlhéry also celbrates pre-war motorcycles.  The weather was not safe for them on Saturday morning but they came out in the sun of Saturday afternoon.

Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2019 - Plateau E - Alfas & Co.

1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider.

The Vintage Revival Montlhéry is not a race meeting but a classic car event where you can see pre-war cars drive around a really classic track.  No competition but an incredible variety of cars that you won't see at most historic races.

If you ask which was my favourite Plateau at the Vintage Revival at Montlhéry in  2019, there can only be one answer - the Plateaux E and its amazing selection of Alfa Romeos, Maseratis and Bugattis.  To honour these cars I headed to take photos of them on the iconic banking.  What a show they made!

Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2019 - Plateau H - YCAR

A 1922 Ford Montier Le Mans leads a 1906 Mercedes Simplex through the final chicane.

Saturday at the Vintage Revival Montlhéry this year was my antidote to jet lag after a week in New York.   It started off wet but everything soon dried out and the event as usual was hugely enjoyable for fans of pre-war cars.  Some of the oldest and biggest engined cars were in Plateau H for the YCAR.  YCAR stands for Yacht-Club des Avions de la Route, a group of French enthusiasts of vintage cars.   It is amazing to see these cars either in the paddock or at speed on the famous Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry track.  Some of them are feature below:
